PROLITE III: Applications

PROLITE III offers two handpieces for two very popular applications in aesthetic dermatology:

The yellow handpiece PR 550 for photo rejuvenation; 550 – 1,100 nm

• reduces reddening and superficial vascular skin changes in the face such as telangiectasia, rosacea and hemangioma
• reduces irregular pigmentations gently but efficiently
• visibly rejuvenates the skin

The red handpiece HR 630 for hair removal; 630 – 1,100 nm

• permanently removes unwanted hair on all skin types
• can be used for the face, the body and legs

Changing between applications is easy: just change the handpiece.

Active principle of the IPL system PROLITE III

The filtered light spectrum selectively targets specific structures in the skin that absorb the light energy. Depending on the handpiece, this is either melanin in undesired pigmentations, hemoglobin in changed vessels or melanin in hair follicles. These target structures absorb the light and are heated and thus effectively destroyed. Irregular pigmentations are reduced, the vessels collapse and are absorbed by the body. The hair follicles are destroyed permanently. The epidermis is optimally protected by the skin cooling.
