Applications
Investigations at the Institute for Laser Medicine at the Ulm University have proven the positive effect of the applicator SCR 585 yellow on the circulation within the treated tissue: - The temporary increase of the skin temperature increases the circulation.
- This effect continues for some time after the treatment and is not a result of the warmth from the light.
- Optical coherence tomography shows an expansion of the blood vessels and creation of additional vessels (angioneogenesis) on animals.

Yellow light is also appropriate for treating acne vulgaris, as long as adequate light intensity is available: - Endogenous porphyrins of acne propioni release radical oxygen species after the treatment with the 585 yellow applicators.
- The bacteria die out, the acne improves.
- Yellow light penetrates deeper into the skin than blue.
- High light intensity is required for an effective treatment.
