LEDA is the expandable platform system for treating various indications. The applicators LEDA HP/SCR 635 red apply red light with 635 nm wavelength for photodynamic therapy (PDT) and support of wound healing.
LEDA 635 red is available as handpiece (HP) and as treatment screen (SCR). Both applicators use very light-intense, high-power LEDs.
Photodynamic therapy and support of wound healing
The applicators LEDA HP/SCR 635 red apply narrow-band red light with a wavelength of 635 nm. Photodynamic therapy of deeper skin layers and support of wound healing are ideal indications for the LED system.
Light-intense, selective treatments
There are two LED applicators with red light:
- treatment screen LEDA SCR 635 red for larger areas with treatment area size of 16 x 10 cm and power density of 120 mW/cm²
- handpiece LEDA HP 635 red for small areas with spot size of 5.5 x 3 cm and power density of 600 mW/cm².
The LEDA basis has a highly efficient built-in water cooling system that allows the applicators LEDA HP/SCR 635 red to use high-power LEDs which that apply considerably higher light intensities than standard air-cooled LEDs.
The handpiece and treatment screen directly target the specific lesion or area to be treated. This intense therapy reduces treatment time and number of sessions required.
