LEDA is the expandable platform system for treating various indications. The handpiece LEDA HP 415 blue uses intense blue light with 415 nm wavelength for photodynamic therapy (PDT) and acne therapy.
The handpiece LEDA HP 415 blue uses very light-intense, high-power LEDs. Their narrow-band light with the wavelength of 415 nm is in the visible blue light spectrum.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) and acne treatment
LEDA HP 415 blue is used for PDT of the skin surface, for example for treating actinic keratosis. The blue light is selectively absorbed by pathological changed skin cells, which are then destroyed by the light energy.
The blue 415 nm light additionally has suppressing effects on the growth of acne bacteria, allowing the LEDA HP 415 blue to be used to fight an important cause of inflammatory acne.
Light-intense, selective treatments
The LEDA basis has a highly efficient built-in water cooling system. The active water cooling of the LEDs allows LEDA HP 415 blue to use high-power LEDs with light intensities of up to 450 mW/cm². This is about ten times more intense than standard LED systems apply. The handpiece directly and intensely targets specific lesions, reducing treatment time and number of sessions required.
