The LBO laser system IDAS is the specialist for superficial vascular skin changes. The light with 532 nm wavelength only penetrates about 0.1 to 1 mm into the skin, because it is absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin in the skin. The versatile laser system IDAS is thus ideally suited for the treatment of superficial vessels and pigment changes:
Vascular skin changes
IDAS quickly and safely removes many superficial vascular skin changes in the face and on the body, including
- telangiectasia
- rosacea
- hemangioma
- spider nevi
- spider veins
- port-wine stains
- varices on the legs (endovascular therapy)
With a sterile fiber, IDAS can be used for endovascular treatments of varices, the varicose veins. They are gently heated and thus sealed from within. The treated veins die and are absorbed by the body.
Pigment changes
Epidermal benign pigment changes can be treated with the LBO laser system IDAS, including indications such as
- café au lait spots
- solar lentigo
Surgical indications
IDAS can be used in continuous wave mode, expanding the application range of the LBO laser system to include small surgical indications such as:
- removal of warts
- ENT surgery
- conchotomy (reduction of the nasal conchae)
- LAUP (laser assisted uvulopalatoplasty), a treatment to reduce snoring
- tonsillotomy or tonsillectomy, partial or complete removal of the tonsils
