ARION: Applications

The alexandrite laser system ARION with 755 nm wavelength is the gold standard for hair removal. ARION is especially suitable for long-lasting laser hair removal on skin types I-IV:

• fine, normal and thicker hair
• superficial and deeper lying hair
• also difficult-to-reach areas thanks to the flexible handpiece
• large-area hair removal with optional scanner

The hair removal laser ARION uses the principle of selective photo thermolysis: Light of an appropriate wavelength specifically affects a target structure. The target structure is damaged by the induced thermal energy, the surrounding tissue is protected.

Light with 755 nm wavelength penetrates the epidermis and is absorbed selectively by melanin in the hair follicles. The laser energy heats the follicles and destroys them permanently. Only three to six laser hair removal treatments achieve long-lasting results.

Superficial vascular skin changes

ARION successfully treats many superficial vascular skin changes

• rosacea, telangiectasia
• spider veins
• hemangioma and many more

The alexandrite laser targets the hemoglobin within blood vessels. The absorbed laser energy heats the blood, coagulating and vaporizing it. The vessel walls are damaged, they collapse. The blocked vessel is later absorbed by the body.

Superficial pigmented skin changes

ARION achieves visible improvements on many benign epidermal pigment changes, including

• café au lait spots
• solar lentigo

The laser energy is absorbed by the increased melanin and destroys the pigments, which are absorbed by the body.

Easy change of applications

Changing between treatment options is user-friendly and safe: You only have to plug in the appropriate handpiece or scanner. ARION automatically recognizes the applicator and only offers the relevant treatment parameters.
