Wavelength
The VIRIDIS DERMA laser system treats with a wavelength of 532 nm. Radiation of this wavelength penetrates about 0.1 - 1 mm into human skin, since besides the high diffusion, 532-nm radiation is absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin. Hemoglobin has a absorption maxima at 532 nm, which is the target chromophore in treatments of blood vessels. The wavelength of 532 nm is especially suited for treating smaller vessels that transport little blood.
