Advantages of TALOS

High Dose

The TALOS excimer laser emits 308-nm UVB light with a high fluence of 230 mW/cm². This makes it possible to apply a much more effective UV dose than with standard broad-band UVB products. The result: The therapy is much more effective, sick skin areas heal faster.

Selective Application

The easy-to-change spot sizes make it possible to treat only the diseased areas and protect the surrounding skin from unnecessary UVB radiaton. Thus especially gentle treatments with high effectivity are ensured.

Optimal Wavelength for UVB Treatments

308 - 311 nm has been shown to be the optimum range, since there is less erythema as compared to the effectiveness. This means that TALOS with a wavelength of 308 nm has the advantage of highest efficiency and reduced risk of side effects, as compared to broad-band UVB lamps.
