308 EXCIMER SYSTEM approved in Japan
The 308 EXCIMER SYSTEM is the handy, highly effective treatment solution for intense monochromatic UVB therapy of autoimmune skin diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata and many other indications.
The handheld system with 308 nm wavelength allows you to treat patients just as quickly and effectively as with an excimer laser, but it is considerably smaller, easier to use and more flexible. Its low acquisition and operating costs also make it more cost-effective. The handy system is the ideal device for intense treatment of localized plaques, allowing the application of a much higher UVB dose than with UV cabins, while leaving healthy skin unexposed.
Since December 2011, this outstanding treatment solution is now available in Japan. With India, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, Japan is the sixth country in Asia where the 308 EXCIMER SYSTEM is sold. With this magazine, we would like to intensify the contact with our customers and inform partners and employees about news at Quantel Derma. As a provider of dermatological laser systems, our business is all about skin, therefore we have chosen the title SKIN CONTACT.
The Magazine will be published twice per year. SKIN CONTACT covers latest trends in laser dermatology and shares news from the company. We inform about new products or applications and present the people contributing to our success. Field reports, scientific and service information will also be part of our magazine.

Lectures on Excimer Light at Sharmderma
Dr. Noufal Raboobee presented his "Lecture on Treatment with the Quantel Derma Excimer Light Machine" at Sharmderma Congress in Egypt.
Comparing the 308 EXCIMER SYSTEM with an excimer laser, the reknowed Dermatologist focused on the advantages of the handheld system and especially pointed out the very low maintenance costs.
At the request of the organizers, he repeated the lecture at the Advanced Photobiology course. In this session he discussed practical aspects of the treatment, such as how to select patients and how to set parameters.
The Sharmderma Congress with more than 600 registered delegates was held in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, on November 21-24.
