Company History
Since joining the Quantel group in September 2007, WaveLight Aesthetic GmbH is responsible for the dermatological products within the group. The company distributes its products under the name Quantel Derma.
Quantel Derma combines the long experience in the development, production and distribution of laser and light-based systems for dermatological and aesthetic applications.
The Quantel SA from Les Ulis close to Paris is one of the pioneers in the European laser industry. Quantel produces and sells laser systems for industrial, medical and scientific purposes, and has been developing and selling lasers and flash lamps since the 1990s.

The WaveLight Aesthetic GmbH was part of the WaveLight AG until April 2006. The activities of the WaveLight AG in the area of dermatological lasers go back to 2001, when it took over the company NWL GmbH and the medical laser division of the Carl Baasel Lasertechnik GmbH. These companies were active with medical lasers since the 1990s.
A young company, Quantel Derma unites the long laser experience of two well-known concerns.
